over memorial day weekend the kids and i spent a few days with my parents. we had a great time and the kids were spoiled as usual by grammie and grampie. the cupboards and fridge were filled with all sorts of treats, that i have to say were not allowed when i was a kid...way to much sugar!! ahhhh....the joys of being a grandparent, somehow the rules don't apply.
so here's how the weekend went....
first stop - meijer for some {extra} treats
popsicles
ice cream sandwiches
gummies
smarties
and yogurt for the lil'man
yep...all that PLUS what was already at grammie and grampie's house, and of course they sent it all home with us. let's just say it went in the "mommy/daddy" cupboard when we got home.

no butterflies yet, but a few days later elle and beckett got a special email message from grammie with pictures of the hatched butterflies.
next up... spa night with grammie

i loved doing this as a kid with my mom and this year elle got to help. i LOVE front porches with flowers and comfy chairs to sit in and just relax. to me that's the perfect start to summer.

we had a great time at home, visiting with my parents, sister, brother and nieces and of course being spoiled. ellington adores both her grandparents and we are so thankful to have them both so close. we're looking forward to more weekends away and trips to the cottage. hopefully, beckett will get to partake in more photos the next time.
