camping

our first camping trip of the season was a....

success!!!

we had a great time chilling with the kids and relaxing with good friends. it was the docks first time out camping and their kids did great, as did ellingtong and beckett...whew! we had 4 kids under 3 years old. ellington and micah loved playing with one another and the babes just tagged along, although aj is not really a baby anymore...he'll be celebrating his first birthday next weekend.

the weekend was chilly but it made for great campfires and snuggle time.

she climbed up in the trunk of the truck and cuddled in for some reading and coloring...really, what 2 year old does that??? this one...she likes her quiet time. micah joined her for short little stints, which usually ended up in them climbing over the seats and tackling one another.

beckett wins the award for "best camping baby"

he did GREAT, slept awesome even with the noisy group behind us and just went with the flow {not his usual behavior}

they had such a great time all weekend. em (dock) and i joke about them getting married, but really we'd love it! although we both promised to be honest about how our kid likes the other as a mother -in - law!
