thanks for being a great big sister. it's been fun to look back on all of our fun times sharing a room, bugging the boys on long car rides, and planning outfits while you were in college and i was back at home. i loved visiting you at college and have always looked up to. as we get older i cherish our times of getting together to run early in the morning or meet half way at kensington park with the kids and of course signing up for race after race. by the way, what's are next one? thanks for sharing your creativity and knowledge of motherhood with me. here's to many more birthday celebrations.

what a way to start the holiday season with being thankful

o christmas tree

the christmas season officials starts once the christmas tree is picked, cut, and lit up

in traditional fashion we headed out to the tree farm the weekend of thanksgiving

if you haven't seen chevy chase christmas vacation, you're missing out!

for those of you who have, you'll understand when i say we wait for the {perfect} tree to light up and the chorus to start signing before we make our final cut.

this year the picking was a little slim

but we found our {perfect} one- minus the singing {accept from josh}
