celebrating our dads is the sooo fun! we had a simple weekend, playing at the beach and pool.
we love living near lake michigan in the summer time. the kids love water and feel very confident in it. 

we also had some butterflies to release over the weekend. ellington and beckett have been watching the caterpillars turn to chrysalis and then finally hatch into beautiful orange butterflies. such a fun experience to see them get excited about each stage. 

 

such fun memories this summer and many more to come!

roadtrip to grammie & grampie's

we've been busy visiting and playing with LOTS of family
josh was gone on a bike trip so the kids and i packed up and headed to my parents for the weekend. we surprised my mom at school for one of her last days of school. we decided her 2nd graders where such "smarties" we brought them a little treat {smarties}...they loved it!

on saturday we headed into GR to the children's museum....this place is AWESOME! ellington got into the exhibits and beckett just bounced from one to the other. we ran into an old college friend and her kids while we there.

we also took a trip up to my parents cottage. they have been working hard all winter and spring to fix up the downstairs kitchen & living part. great job as usual! the kids had fun to checking out the boat and taking it out for a little sunset cruise. lots of fun times to come up there this summer.
